I was born in a small town in coal country Pennsylvania where I gained most of my "character". I am an only child, and my parents and great aunts owned a local bar in my town. My mother is a photographer, artist, and seamstress, and my father is a retired History teacher and general scholar of the world (with a great sense of humor). After I graduated from Lake-Lehman High School, I moved to New York City to study at St. John's University, but eventually transferred to the School of Visual Arts (SVA) to major in Cinematography. I'm a life-long movie lover, and film history and period pieces heavily influence my work. While at SVA, I was able to take sculpture and painting classes, where I found a love for the fine arts. I lived in Bushwick, Brooklyn during the height of the Brooklyn DIY scene, and was able to really express myself in a very vibrant and creative neighborhood. I got heavily involved with Bushwick Open Studios and got a studio space of my own in the former Brooklyn Brush Studio Building off of the Jefferson L stop. I focused more on my paintings and drawings, and had several shows. Once the Pandemic hit, fate took me to Los Angeles, where I now reside and continue to make art.
